Rural Cabin (1996)

This past November I found this pen and ink drawing in a sketchbook I had never opened before. It is very likely a scene from southern Louisiana, though it could be most places in the country. It deserves a more evocative title than “Rural Cabin,” but the ones that crossed my mind would unfairly influence the viewer!

Something about it caught me, so I decided to have it framed, and then was lured into this framing scheme (at the proprietor’s suggestion) — the cost of which is reflected in the sale price!
