Rockport (1954)

This painting of Rockport, Maine is one of two that I happened to discover in a very old sketchbook. I framed the other (of New Orleans’ French Quarter), but have informally posted this one—and priced it accordingly.

My intrigue with this (and the other) might be influenced by the date. I was born in ‘54. I wonder how my mother felt with Dad traveling from New Orleans to Maine either when she was very pregnant, or when she was home with three children, one of whom was an infant?
