These first several are of geographical spots in New Orleans that still exist.

These are more personal . . . but should be of some interest. I would hope that the set overall can be kept together as a collection.

Not in New Orleans . . . but nonetheless of historic interest.

These get more personal. Still of interest, I hope!

I suspect this is a grandmother who lived in Port Gibson, MS.

This is also very personal.

This, too. Notice that this, and some others, have stains. They are somewhat historic, as the set as a whole was positioned in such a way that part of these were saturated when the house at 1716 Frankfort St. took in a few inches of water with the Katrina floods. These, and a number of other paintings, were set out on the lawn to dry when we were finally able to return to the city to check things out! (SEE FINAL PHOTO!)

I would like to offer this (and perhaps the great-grandmother piece above) to relatives in Port Gibson, descendants of the same great grandparents. While I hate to break up the collection, they might find these worth keeping. If so, I will inform them that the rest of the collection is with you — and encourage them to donate these to you at some point if they are so inclined.

These final two don’t quite fit in with the others. But my father was inclined to produce them. Impressionable memories!

Post-Katrina salvage effort!
